*** Cleaning Fee for Dirty Tires *** Please note that the County of Simcoe will no longer be accepting residential or municipal loads of dirty tires free of charge at County Waste Management Facilities. Dirty tires will be charged a tipping fee of $230/tonne to pay for cleaning of the tires before they are shipped to the recycling plant. Dirty tires consist of tires that are contaminated with gravel, dirt and other organic matter. These tires are hard to deal with and pose several operational problems at the recycling plant. Thank you for your cooperation.

Garbage Tags and Landfill Site Vouchers Recycling and Waste Diversion Mara Landfill Site Location: 5200 Country Road 169, Township of Ramara Hours of Operation: Monday through Wednesday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm/Saturday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Directions: Take County Road 169 approximately 3 km north of the Village of Udney and just north of Concession Road 12. Follow the signage on County Road 169 to the site.
Hazardous Materials Disposal
Hazardous materials such as household cleaning products, paints, pesticides, batteries, fluorescent tubes (limit 30 per visit), solvents, disinfectants, propane tanks, etc., may be taken to the Hazardous Waste Depot at the City of Orillia Landfill Site, 100 Kitchener Street , Monday – Saturday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm.
