It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our website. As Mayor in my second term, I am honoured to be representing the citizens of our great Township.
Located within Lake Country, on the north east shore of Lake Simcoe and bordering Lake Couchiching, the Township of Ramara is made up of several rural and urban settlements. Our township includes the communities of Brechin and Lagoon City in the south, Atherley, Bayshore Village, Joyland Beach, Uptergrove, Rathburn and Udney in the middle region, and Longford Mills, Sebright, Cooper’s Falls, Ramona and part of Washago in the north. Ramara is home to beautiful waterfront settlements, agricultural properties, and aggregate quarries. We are also proud to have Casino Rama within our area, in neighbouring Rama Mnjikaning.
It is my sincere goal to work with Council to improve the quality of life of all residents and to encourage visitors to explore everything Ramara has to offer. Our aim is to enhance services through such developments as the Brechin sewers. It is also important to support job creation through such endeavours as the Brechin Industrial Park.
Together we can work to make Ramara the best it can be!
